A Day in the Life ... Part 1

This day began with an early morning jaunt in the tuk tuks to the morning market, a 2 block long daily farmer's market that happens in all the villages in Laos. Each of us was given a paper with an item we had to find (written phoenitically in the Lao language, as well as some money to pay for it. We set off our our search (all successful!) and these were some of the things we saw. Later, we went to a small village where the people used these ingredients to cook us a delicious lunch.
