After a restful last morning in Siem Reap (laundry, ATM, writing blogs) we said goodbye to Cambodia and flew into Bangkok, a 40 minute flight on which a full lunch was served. Welcome to Asia! Now we are back at the Pantip Suites Hotel where, because it is the last night of our tour (before we begin the 7 day post-trip to Northern Thailand) we are getting VIP treatment. Our suite has two huge bedrooms, 3 baths, living room, dining room and kitchen. There are views of the city from 3 directions and a balcony overlooking the pool. We are floundering around in all this space!
Tonight is our farewell dinner on a river boat, with full festivities. In the wee hours, 9 members of our group will depart from the tour -so sad!! Then four of us and our vivacious guide, Lada, will continue on. It will be very strange to be separated from our "pack" after all these weeks together.
